“He was a listener. Even if it is a bad advice he will just listen and say thank you” – Samuel Inkoom on the late Christian Atsu

Samuel Inkoom on Christian Atsu : Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana international Samuel Inkoom has spoken about the death of his former international teammate Christian Atsu Twasam whose funeral and burial took place on Friday March 17th , 2023.

“Today is a sad day for all of us. I didn’t want to talk to be honest because it is sad day. We are here to honor him as well. I respect him a lot.  He is a guy that listens. He listens a lot. He listens to advice. Whatever you say he will say thank you even if it is a bad advice.” , the Hearts of Oak defender said into the microphone of Pulse Ghana on Friday at Atu’s funeral.

Inkoom went on to recount a funny incident at the Black Stars camp that involved the late Ghana star.

“I will love to remember that I think at the Black Stars it was a dinner and it was Banku and Fufu and he wanted to eat Fufu but the Fufu was finished and if you see his face you cannot laugh. These are some of my memories with him.”

When I heard the news of his death I didn’t believe it and even up to now I don’t believe it. I have gone to see the body and he is the one but I cannot still believe it.

I played in Turkey before and I know this particular city it happened and when I was there it (earthquake) happened also.

It is a sad day and everybody has to learn from it. It is good that they are paying him back this way.” , he added.
