“I played in Turkey before and when I was there the earthquake occurred too” – Inkoom reveals

Samuel Inkoom Reveals Turkey Earthquake Experience : Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Inkoom says he witnessed an earthquake during his time in the Turkey playing for Antalyaspor.

“When I heard the news of his death I didn’t believe it and even up to now I don’t believe it. I have gone to see the body and he is the one but I cannot still believe it.” , Samuel Inkoom said to Pulse Ghana on Friday.

Inkoom who reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup with the Black Stars signed for the Turkish side Antalyaspor in January 2016 for a one-year stint and is well aware of the earthquake tendency in the European country.

“I played in Turkey before and I know this particular city it happened (Hatayspor) and when I was there it (earthquake) happened also. It is a sad day and everybody has to learn from it. It is good that they are paying him back this way.

“Today is a sad day for all of us. I didn’t want to talk to be honest because it is sad day. We are here to honor him as well. I respect him a lot. He is a guy that listens. He listens a lot. He listens to advice. Whatever you say he will say thank you even if it is a bad advice.” , the Hearts of Oak defender added at the funeral of Christian Atsu on Friday.
