Chris Hughton Promises : Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana was unveiled in a ceremony in Kumasi on Monday March 20th and the former technical advisor to Otto Addo promises to make the Black Stars successful.
“As most of you know the last majority of the managerial career has been at club level. For most of you who know me know that I represented the Republic of Ireland as a player.” , Chris Hughton said at the SG Mall in Kumasi.
The former Brighton and Holve Albion manager continued :
“And so to represent Ghana and the Black Stars as head coach is something that I am incredibly proud of. It is something that I will give everything to make the team as successful as possible.
Its something that I will do to make sure the communication and the relationship that I have with the association , for those around the association and of course the supporters.”
Ghana take Angola on March 2rd at the Babayara sport stadium during Match-Day Three of the 2023 AFCON qualification tournament as Hughton takes charge of his maiden Ghana match. The Black Stars travel to Luanda for the reverse fixture on March 27th.
