Black Meteors Face Tough Algeria Test : The Black Meteors of Ghana contest against the Fennec Foxes of Algeria for a place in the finals of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Morocco later this year.
Ibrahim Tanko’s team defeated Mozambique back to back (2-1 in Maputo and 2-0 in Kumasi) in the Second Round of the qualification tournament but the Algeria U23 national team are a more credible opposition.
Just like the Black Meteors , the Fennec Foxes have several European-based footballers in their squad to face Ghana in the final round of the qualifiers.
The Ghana Olympic team has failed to qualify for the Olympic Football event since Athens 2004. In order to end this jinx , Afriyie Barnieh and co have to qualify to the U23 AFCON in Morocco before.
