2023 AFCON Qualifiers : Tanzania defeat Uganda in Egypt to go second in Group F

Tanzania Defeat Uganda in Egypt : The Taifa Stars of Tanzania emerged 1-0 winners over Uganda Cranes in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers thanks to a single goal by Simon Msuva. 

The match , a home game of Uganda , was played at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia , Egypt on Friday evening.

Msuva netted the solitary goal in the 69th minute after exploiting a cross from defender Dickson Job.

Tanzania are now second on the Group F table with four points in three games played as Algeria who defeated Niger on Thursday lead the group with nine points out of three games.

The two East African teams meet again at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday next week.
