Morocco plan for another top friendly match against this European powerhouse ahead of the 2023 AFCON

Morocco Plan for Another Top International Friendly : Morocco played two high-profile international friendly matches during the FIFA international break against Brazil and Peru and now the 2022 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists , already qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations , are planning for another world class amical match against 2022 FIFA World Cup runners-up France.

Morocco want to test their strength against Kylian Mbappe , Antoine Griezmann and co managed by Didier Deschamps ahead of the Ivory Coast tournament that kicks off 13th January 2024.

The Atlas Lions defeated Brazil by 2-1 in Tangier on March 25th before drawing 0-0 against Peru in Madrid three days later.

According to information from Rue20, the Moroccan football federation are in talks with the French Football Federation to organize the top friendly match between the two national teams. The cracker of a friendly game would then take place at the Stade de France, on a date still yet to be decided.

It was the Blues of France that defeated and ended Morocco’s impressive run at the Qatar FIFA World Cup as the North Africans became the fist ever African team to reach the semi-finals of the world’s biggest soccer competition.

It has been 47 years now since Morocco won their only Africa Cup of Nations during the 1976 competition held in Ethiopia and Walid Regragui’s team are among the big favorites to win the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast next year.
