Abdul Bashiru wins MVP against Bechem United

Veteran defender Abdul Bashiru has picked the first Most Valuable Player award of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League season in Great Olympics’s win against Bechem United. 

Bashiru put in a great performance to help his team win their first match of the new season.

Great Olympics opened their 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League season with a slim victory over Bechem United.

Samuel Ashie Quaye came off the bench to score the most important goal for the home side. Ashie Qauye easily connected home in the 82nd minute to put Olympics ahead.

The Bechem defence failed to deal with a cross from substitute Prince Afrifa as Emmanuel Akesse , the third substitute involved in the goal , unsuccessfully tried to connect home but it was the unmarked Quaye who had the easiest job of tapping in.

Great Olympics starting line – up : GK Benjamin Asare 40 , Solomon Adomako 18 , Ebenezer Sekyere 26 , Raymond Okoe Grippman 13 ; Ayikwei Adjetey 17 , Emmanuel Agyemang Badu 8 , Abdul Bashiru , Razak Kassim , Amos Acheampong ; Ayitey Aryeetey 9 , Razak Abdul 23.

Subs In : Samuel Ashie Quaye for in the 46th minute , Prince Afrifa for Amos Acheampong in the 79th minute,
Emmanuel Akesse for Agyemang Badu in the 79th minute.
