Sudanese journalist Tahir Salih says Al Hilal were too strong for Ghana champions Asante Kotoko. The team of Seydou Zerbo were humiliated by the Sudanese giants by 5-0 on Friday.
Sudan giants Al Hilal humiliated Asante Kotoko by 5-0 during an international pre-season friendly match played at the Al Hilal stadium on Friday night.
Al Hilal also defeated the Ghana champions by 2-0 on August 23rd and continued to annihilate the Porcupine Warriors yesterday.
Tahir, who works for the Goon Sports Newspaper , watched both matches and spoke to Ghana Sports Market after Friday’s match.
“The match was strong for both teams at the beginning” Tahir Salih told Ghana Sports Market.
“But the coach of Al Hilal changed his game plan by attacking the opponents with more numbers up front and the Kotoko could not cope ” Tahir said.
“These games are important preparatory matches for both teams ahead of their African campaign”
“and It was an exciting night here” Tahir Salih added.

The five Hilal goals came from Makabi Lilepo who scored a free-kick brace in the 30th and 44th minutes.
Abdul Ajagun made it 3-0 in the 62nd minute.
Mowafag Sedig scored the fourth of his side in the 75th before Mubarak Abdullah sealed the humiliation with five minutes from time.
Goalkeeper Asare was stretchered off at the stroke of half time. He hurt himself in an unsuccessful effort to save Lilepo’s free-kick.
Asante Kotoko , who have been poor in Sudan so far, boycotted initial plans to stage their pre-season in Turkey after failing to secure visas to travel to the European country.
The Ghana champions open their CAF Champions League campaign against RC Kadiogo of Burkina Faso between 9 and 11 September, 2022.
