Rail Club de Kadiogo head coach Amadou Sampo , in an exclusive interview with Ghana Sport Market , says his team can still qualify ahead of Asante Kotoko despite losing the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary tie.
Isaac Oppong scored a stoppage time winner as Kotoko won by 1-0 to hand the champions of Ghana a crucial first leg advantage. The talented youngster found the breakthrough for the Porcupine Warriors in the 90 + 3 minute when everyone at the Stade de l’Amitié Général Mathieu Kérékou in Cotonou thought the match was going to be concluded at 0-0.
But ahead of the second leg in Kumasi this weekend, Sampo has exclusively spoken to Ghana Sports Market and believes his team can cause an upset in Ghana.
“Yes. Definitely we can qualify in Kumasi. ” Amadou Sampo told Ghana Sports Market when asked about the chances of his team making it to the next round of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.
“The contest is home and away basis and our aim is to qualify. We are coming to Kumasi to look for the qualification” the confident Sampo added.
