Atsu Remembered by Chelsea : The death of former Ghana international Christian Atsu was acknowledged at English Premier League matches on Saturday.
A moment of silence was observed at Stamford Bridge before the Chelsea – Southampton Week 24 league match started.
Atsu , 31 , was found dead under the rubble of his residence on the morning of Saturday 18th February following the disastrous earthquake of February 6th across Turkey and Syria.
The late Atsu was a player of the Blues between 2013 and 2017 even though he did not make a competitive appearance for the senior men’s team of Chelsea.
Newcastle United , one of the former clubs of Christian Atsu , are also set to observe a minute silence before their game against Liverpool later this evening.
