Aziz Futah : Former management member of Hearts of Oak Aziz Haruna Futah has branded the current Hearts of Oak management including board chairman Togbe Afede as the worst ever in recent history of the club.
“Hearts of Oak don’t have a management in place. I don’t even know the words to use to describe them.” Aziz Futah said on Nhyira FM on Monday afternoon.
“With Akambi as board member, Odotei as a board member I heard Togbe Afede saying that he is the acting CEO of the club alongside Akambi and Odotei but with all due respect to all these gentlemen they have done well. But I can tell you this is the worst management so far. ” the former Hearts of Oak supporters criticized.
The Phobians were battered 3-0 by AS Real Bamako during the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Second Round Preliminary Round match and will need to stage a great comeback if they are to qualify to the Play-Off Round of the competition.
Futah went on and said :
“What they (Hearts of Oak management) did was to sack him (Samuel Boadu) , bring any coach at all knowing that same week they were going to play in Africa because they don’t care about whatever happens. So you will need a better replacement who can handle the team but they did not look all these. They just decided and now look at what is happening.
I am not against the sacking of Samuel Boadu but they needed to get a replacement coach in place who will take over. How can you sack your head coach and then you hire an assistant coach of your rivals Kotoko to lead you to Africa? That was a funny decision.”
Former Asante Kotoko assistant coach David Ocloo was appointed by Hearts of Oak as an assistant coach. Ocloo led the team to Bamako for the Confederation Cup first leg as the Phobians are yet to name a substantive head coach.
