Ghana Coach Otto Addo names 26-man roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup

Black Stars Final Squad : Ghana head coach Otto Addo has named a 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup that kicks off November 20th in Qatar.

The main surprises were the absence of in-form winger Joseph Paintsil of Belgian side RCK Genk and Crystal Palace midfielder Jeffery Schlupp.

Paintsil has 6 goals and 6 assists this season in the Jupiler Pro League whilst Schlupp has been a regular in the EPL for Palace.

The Black Stars are dealt huge blows following last-minute injuries to goalkeepers Joseph Wollacot of Charlton Athletic and Orlando Pirates’ Richard Ofori. The former picked a finger injury on Saturday during the warm-up session ahead of a League One game against Burton Albion.

These sad developments however paved the way for Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad to make the final roster alongside Manaf Nurudeen and Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
