Casillas is gay

Casillas is Gay : Former Spain and Real Madrid Number One goalkeeper Iker Casillas announced that he is gay but the Real Madrid legend has deleted the Tweet hours after he posted it.

“Espero que me respeten: soy gay. #felizdomingo” Casillas tweeted on Sunday afternoon to his 9.6 million followers.

His tweet in the Spanish language translates into English as : “I hope you respect me: I’m gay. #happy Sunday”

It is not clear why Casillas deleted the Tweet that went viral within a short period.

On 4 August 2020, Casillas officially announced his retirement from professional football. In July, he was reported to have returned to Real Madrid to work as an advisor for Florentino Pérez. In December 2020, he was appointed as the deputy to the Real Madrid Foundation CEO.

He won 19 trophies with Real Madrid. Casillas also won two European championships and one FIFA World Cup with the Spanish national team.

The former FC Porto goalkeeper is largely regarded as one of the best ever goalkeepers the game has seen.
