Danlad and Barnieh Report : Ahead of the CHAN tournament Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker is handed a major boost as both Danlad Ibrahim and Afriyie Barnieh join the team after the World Cup group stage exit of the Black Stars of Ghana.
Both players were part of Otto Addo’s 26-man squad for the FIFA world cup which is currently on-going in Qatar.
The black stars of Ghana were in a group with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea but they couldn’t make it out of the group after finishing last in the group with three points after winning just a game which against South Korea.
Both players returned home to the club without kicking a ball at the tournament. Coach Walker called 40-man provisional squad including both players.
Per reports, Danlad wasn’t feeling well when he returned to Ghana and Barnieh too ask for some break to handle some personal issues.
Today, both players will be available at Prampram and will train with the team as they prepare to face GPL side Legon Cities tomorrow.
The Black Galaxies will be in Algeria for the CHAN tournament in January as the will face Madagascar, Sudan, and Morocco in the group stage.
