Premier League Hall of Fame : Here are the first managers to be inducted and they deserve it

Ferguson and Wenger Inducted onto EPL Hall of Fame : The Premier League have announced the first two names of the Premier League Hall of Fame of the year 2023 on Wednesday.

The iconic Alex Ferguson formerly of Manchester United and the great Arsene Wenger of Arsenal fame become the first coaches to enter the “hall of fame” of English football and it is well deserved considering the legacy created and the amount of trophies they won for their respective clubs.

They left their mark on football in general.

Two of the best coaches of their time joined at the same time, as a symbol, the Hall of Fame of the Premier League and thus joined 16 outstanding players of the English top flight championship.

Sir Alex Ferguson clinched13 Premier League titles with Manchester United, and Arsène Wenge is winner of three Premier Leagues with Arsenal including that of the “Invincibles” of 2003/2004.

The two men were adversaries and enemies for more than 15 years and are now the first coaches to enter the Hall of Fame.

In place since 2021, the “hall of fame” of English football is in its 3rd edition.

In 2021 and 2022, eight new players entered each time. After the French Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, Arsène Wenger is therefore the fourth Frenchman to join this honorary group.

Alex Ferguson joins several of his former players at United such as Paul Scholes, David Beckham and Wayne Rooney just to name a few.

Fergie and Wenger combined , oversaw 1638 Premier League matches from 1992 to 2018 ; That is 810 games for the Scot, between 1992 and 2013 and  828 games for Wenger from 1996 to 2018.
