betPawa Ghana Premier League Title Race : Hearts of Oak are now just three points away from leaders Aduana FC

Final 10 Matches of Hearts of Oak Analyzed : Seventy per cent of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season has been done and three teams have collected at least 40 points after twenty-four rounds of matches.

Aduana FC at the summit of the league standings on 41 points , Bechem United at the second position with 40 points and Medeama SC currently under the guidance of the veteran trainer Augustine Evans Adotey occupy the third place with 40 points as well.

But what about Hearts of Oak?

The Phobians are located at the 4th position on 38 points following their 1-0 victory against Accra Lions during Week 24.

The Continental Club Masters (10 wins , 8 draws and 6 losses) are not really considered as part of the hot favorites to lift the title this season but they should not be underestimated since league leaders Aduana FC are just three points clear of them.

GhanaSportsMarket.com has examined the final ten league games of Hearts of Oak.

Final 10 Matches of the League Season of Hearts of Oak :

Dreams FC (Away) on 1st April

Nsoatreman FC (Home) on 17th April

Tamale City (Away) on 23rd April

Bechem United (Away)

King Faisal FC (Home) on 30th April

FC Samartex (Away) on 7th May

Medeama SC (Home) on 21st May

Legon Cities (Away) on 28th May

Real Tamale United (Home) on 4th June

Berekum Chelsea (Away) on 11th June

The club of Togbe Afede will make more journeys than they will play at home ; Six away fixtures against four home games. This is quiet tough for Linda Mtange , Benjamin York , Caleb Amankwa , Eric Esso and co.

Clearly the key fixtures for David Ocloo’s side commence with the away match at Dreams FC in Dawu this weekend. The Phobians were undefeated against Dreams last season winning 3-1 in Accra and drawing 2-2 on the road.

Karim Zito’s team are 11th on the table with 30 points meaning they are not completely free from relegation thoughts and will be desperate for a win.

However it should be noted that Hearts of Oak are the second best team of the league in terms of away games ; 15 points taken from their 11 outings. Only Aduana , 18 points in 13 away games , are better than them.

Tougher away matches await at Samartex , Bechem United , Legon Cities and Berekum Chelsea.

Samartex on 33 points at 9th position on the table and Chelsea , 35 points at the 10th place eye to get respectable places at the end of the campaign and they will not be easy opponents at all.

Bechem can be seen as title contenders based on their current second position and even though Hearts of Oak picked a 1-1 draw the last time they visited the Hunters , this upcoming fixture remains a big one.

Meanwhile Medeama thanks to their current form under Evans Adotey could make things uncomfortable at the Accra sports stadium for the champions of Ghana of the 2020/21 season and don’t forget Real Tamale United undefeated in their last seven matches in all events will visit the Phobians.

Whilst the home matches against Nsoatreman and King Faisal would not easy , they should be favorable for Hearts of Oak.

Final Opinion : Hearts of Oak are not part of the big favorites to win the 2022/23 league title.
