Frederick Asare Threatens Danlad : Frederick Asare is gradually coming into prominence at Asante Kotoko this season after producing another fine performance against Nsoatreman FC on Saturday.

Asare joined the Porcupine Warriors on 2nd August 2022 from Accra Lions and penned a three-year contract.

Danlad has been the first choice of Kotoko since last season but national team duties this season meant Asare got the valuable opportunity to play more matches.

Despite the fact that Asare did not disappoint whilst Danlad was away with the Black Galaxies at the African Nations Championship in Algeria , head coach Seydou Zerbo started Danlad in goal against Dreams FC on February 12th.

Kotoko were beaten 2-0 and Zerbo immediately reacted by going back with Asare as the custodian of his team in the next game against Nsoatreman. The outcome was positive ; a 0-0 draw with Asare on top form.

Kotoko travel to Dormaa to take on Aduana Stars during the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday.

However it is unclear whether Zerbo will restore Danlad as starting goalkeeper against Aduana or he will continue to trust Asare.

Who do you think should start in goal against Aduana Stars. Ibrahim Danlad or Frederick Asare?
