Full Time : King Faisal defeat Accra Lions in the capital ahead of Kumasi derby against Asante Kotoko on Wednesday

King Faisal Defeat Accra Lions in Accra on April 1st : King Faisal Football Club produced a big performance to defeat Accra Lions on Saturday afternoon during a Week 25 betPawa Ghana Premier League encounter at the Accra sports stadium.

Benjamin Bature – also on target against Karela United on March 29th at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex (King Faisal 3 Karela United 2 ) – made the difference with his 9th minute strike.

The home team paraded almost all their best players of the season such as Black Meteors duo Abass Samari Salifu and Dominic Nsobila but they failed to equalize in 81 minutes.

The victory means Faisal go into Wednesday’s derby match against Asante Kotoko having won their last two matches against Karela and Lions.

Meanwhile the Porcupine Warriors are up against Real Tamale United on Sunday for their Week 25 fixture.

The Insha Allahu side parted ways with head coach Jimmy Corbblah on Monday March 27th and installed Godwin Ablordey as interim boss and so far so good for the former Asante Kotoko captain who has led the team to register two victories.

King Faisal are gradually moving away from the relegation battle of the season as they sit at the 12th position on the league table with 31 points in 24 games played even though they could move down again after the remaining Week 25 fixtures are completed.
