Match Report – Dreams FC 0 Hearts of Oak 0 : Spoils shared in Dawu

Hearts of Oak Hold Dreams FC in Dawu on April 1st : Dreams FC were held at home by Hearts of OAK in their Week 25 betPawa Ghana Premier League match played on Saturday afternoon at the Theatre of Dreams.

The match failed to produce enough dangerous attacking moves from both teams.

Linda Mtange was still presented with the best scoring opportunity of the afternoon in Dawu in the 86th minute but the Congolese failed to make it count.

The home side were the first to take a shot at goal in the 5th minute as Atuahene Godfred’s left-footed effort went wide.

In the 10th minute Gael Aholou intelligently ran behind Hearts of Oak left back Dennis Korsah to connect a clever pass from Atuahene but the teenager Aholou was offside , nevertheless his shot went over the bar.

Dreams continued to pass the ball with finesse but they were always doing so in the middle of the park as the Phobian defenders namely Caleb Amankwah , Konadu Yiadom , Samuel Inkoom and Dennis Korsah defended deep and left no spaces for Karim Zito’s team to exploit.

In the 28th minute Hearts of Oak playmaker Mtange tried his luck with a shot from afar but his strike was too strong as it flew into the stands.

A minute later the expatriate footballer sent a good pass to Suraj Seidu in the opponent’s area but unfortunately  the ball bounced off the ground to hit the hands of Seidu and a free-kick was awarded to Dreams.

The clearest scoring chance of the game fell to Linda Mtange four minutes from time.

In a one-versus-one situation against goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi , the Congo playmaker lifted the ball over the Dreams custodian but the ball rolled over the goal line near the post for a goal kick.

Just a minute later Kwadwo Obeng located Linda with a clever long pass , the Congolese brilliantly controlled the ball on the chest before smashing it but once again his effort was pushed over the crossbar by keeper Agbasi for a corner kick to Hearts.

The game finally ended 0-0 and Hearts of Oak could feel disappointed not to have gone ahead with Linda Mtange’s last minute chance.
