GFA Ignores Court Injunction : The 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League season got underway on Saturday despite threat of a court injunction.
Great Olympics and Bechem United are currently playing the first match of the new season at the Accra sports stadium.
News broke on Thursday that Ashantigold SC – demoted to Division Two by the GFA Discplinary Committee for their match-fixing offenses – have secured a court injunction to stop the GFA from commencing the new league season.
“Anyone who tries to play the betPawa PL will spend the Christmas in jail” Kofi Manu , closer to Dr. Kwaku Frimpong said on Abusua FM on Thursday.
“The injunction is just the first step. After that Champion Kwaku Frimpong will sue the GFA Exco for defamation” Blue Boy added.
The first half of the match between Olympics and Bechem United ended 0-0.
Meanwhile it remains to be seen the next step of action of Ashantigold SC.
