Medeama attacker Jonathan Sowah, stands on the cusp of a significant milestone in his career – a potential debut for the Ghanaian national team.
The stage is set for Sowah to showcase his talents in an international friendly against Liberia, scheduled to take place at the iconic Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Sowah’s meteoric rise through the ranks of Ghanaian football has not gone unnoticed, and his inclusion in the national squad underscores the recognition of his exceptional skill and form.
The Black Stars trained at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, in readiness for the friendly.
Chris Hughton’s men came from behind to beat the Central African Republic 2-1 to seal their place in next January’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire and aim to use the friendly to prepare for future competitions including the FIFA World Cup qualifiers that kicks off in November this year.
In all, 25 players are currently in camp with Hamidu Abdul Fatawu of Medeama SC replacing the injured Baba Abdul Rahman.
Winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is also in line for another cap following his late call up in place of Joseph Painstil.
The game is scheduled for a 4 pm kick-off at the Accra Sports Stadium.
