BetPawa GPL Week 7 wrap : Kotoko held at home , Aduana beat Chelsea as Bright Adjei scores a brace

GPL Week 7 Wrap : King Faisal claimed their second win in a row of the season after beating Karela United on Wednesday during mid-week of the Ghana Premier League.

The only goal of the game came from Adu Dwomoh whose strike helped the Inshallah Boys to grab an important 1-0 win over Karela United at the CAM park.

In Accra, Great Olympics pipped Real Tamale United (RTU) by 2-1 with RTU skipper David Abagna opening the scoring on the 12th minute of the game before Oko Krippman equalized for the home team and Amos Acheampong got the match winner for Great Olympics.

Tamale City, however,lost by a goal to nil against Nsoatreman  FC in Nsoatre as the only goal of the game came from the boot of former Asante kotoko winger Baba Mahama.

The lost leaves the newly promoted side at the 18th position in the relegation zone.

In Kumasi , Legon Cities held Asante Kotoko to a 1-1 draw with goals scored by Steven Mukwala for the champions from the spot and Sadat Mohammed getting the equalizer for the Royals. The draw pushes the defending league champions to the third position on the league log.

In Dormaa, Aduana Stars defeated Berekum Chelsea by 2-1 thanks to Bright Adjei’s brace.

GoldStars and Medeama shared the spoils after their 1-1 drawn game in Bibiani whilst Bechem United bounced back from their shocking home defeat to Accra Lions to beat Dreams FC in Dawu.

Meanwhile the game between Kotoku Royals and Samartex was rained off in Cape Coast and will resume tomorrow.

The league continues with the Accra derby as in form Accra Lions welcomes Accra Hearts Of oak to the Accra sports stadium on Thursday.

The game kick off at 3pm and will be shown live on Startimes.
