Hearts Beat Accra Lions : Hearts of Oak defeated Accra Lions by 3-1 at the Accra sports stadium on Thursday afternoon during mid-week of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League season.
The match was a home game of Accra Lions who defeated Bechem United in Bechem during Week Six.
Gladson Awako put the away side ahead in the 23rd minute and two minutes after the break offensive midfielder Salifu Ibrahim made it 2-0 for the FA Cup holders.
Seidu Bassit pulled one goal back for Lions ten minutes from time as they threatened a comeback but Benjamin York killed off the game for the Phobians with a stoppage time third goal.
Hearts of Oak move up the league table to the 6th position with 12 points in 7 games whilst Accra Lions are still second on 15 points.
