James Kwesi Appiah Has a Big Decision to Make : It is a fact that the Sudan Football Association are currently in talks with former Black Stars of Ghana head coach James Kwesi Appiah for the latter to become the head coach of the national men’s team of the former.

Kwesi Appiah is currently serving as a member of the interim management committee of Asante Kotoko.

The great Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II called upon the former player of the Porcupine Warriors to be part of the new direction of the Reds following the end of the mandate of the Dr. Kwame Kyei-led board of directors and the management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season commenced on 15th September and after just the first round of matches , Kwesi Appiah is tempted with a top national team coaching job.

Will he stay in Kumasi or will he go for it ?

It is to be stated that Appiah has not ended his coaching career and the fact that the coach who qualified Ghana to the 2014 FIFA World Cup , says he is waiting for the approval and blessing of Otumfour means he is interested in the Sudan job.

If he was not interested , he would not have started talks with the Sudanese in the first place.

Kwesi Appiah’s return to Kotoko excited many people as he bids to win one of the Executive Council slots at the Ghana Football Association but now he has to make another big decision.

Rejecting the Sudan FA approach is surely something that few unemployed coaches can do.
