Joseph Addo not Considered : Ghana head coach Chris Hughton named his Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifying games against Angola later this month but in-form Aduana FC goalkeeper and captain Joseph Addo was not considered.
Addo has kept nine clean sheets in 20 league matches this season and his team Aduana Football Club lead the standings and are in the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup.
There was also no single home-based player on the list of Hughton who made his first Black Stars selection since becoming Ghana head coach.
Ghana host Palancras Negras at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Thursday, March 23 before travelling to Luanda on March 27, 2023 for the reverse fixture.
