Kobi-Mensah Hails Richmond Lamptey’s Quality : Great Olympics head coach Bismark Kobi-Mensah says he refuses to accept that there are no quality Ghanaian footballers in the Ghana Premier League.
Some former players and coaches have justified Chris Hughton’s decision not to select any home-based player in his 25-man squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Angola citing the Black Galaxies poor tournament at the 2023 CHAN in Algeria.
But according to the former Karela United trainer , there are many brilliant players in the country as he mentions the Asante Kotoko midfielder as an example.
“I can tell you that most of the local players are better than some of the foreign players and there are a lot of them.” , Kobi-Mensah said to Pure FM.
“Asante Kotoko midfielder for me is one of the best midfielders in the country because he covers a lot of distance and he is technically good” , the Olympics gaffer added.
