Kotoko Africa Experience : Head coach of Rail Club de Kadiogo Amadou Sampo says Asante Kotoko’s Africa experience was key during the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary tie on Monday.
Sampo made the revelation in an exclusive interview with Ghana Sports Market on Tuesday.
The champions of Ghana scored deep in stoppage time to clinch a first leg advantage thanks to the genius of Isaac Oppong.
“We made some few incursions during the first 30 minutes and we could have taken the lead” Amadou Sampo told Ghana Sports Market in an exclusive interview.
“I musts say that Kotoko succeeded in edging us with their experience.
In terms of ball possession they were slightly ahead of us but we are two teams with different football philosophies” Sampo added.
Following the first leg which was played in Cotonou , the second leg takes place at the Kumasi sports stadium on Sunday.
