Kwaku Amponsah On Kotoko’s 2021/22 League Title : Former Asante Kotoko National Circles Council chairman (NCC) and currently a patron of the NCC has revealed the effort the supporters leadership of the club put in to make sure the Porcupine Warriors lifted the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title.
“GHS20,000 was spent on eight strong spiritual men to help Asante Kotoko win games last season” , Kwaku Amponsah said.
“Last season, a lot of effort was put into Asante Kotoko Sporting Club’s games for the team to win the league. GH₵15,000 to GH₵20,000 was shelled out on operations for the team with the help of eight strong spiritual men” , he added.
Earlies this season Amponsah and a number of Kotoko supporters stormed the Antoa shrine in the Ashanti region to curse anyone that works against the club in the ongoing league including officiating officials.
Kotoko are 6th on the 2022/23 league table with 44 points in 30 games played and with four games to end the season it is unlikely for the team to defend their title.
