Matic Advised to Stay Away from Hearts of Oak : Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Brimah Akanbi has revealed that head coach Slavko Matic has been advised to stay away from the club for the time being.

The Serbian trainer was chased out by section of Hearts fans at the Pobiman training center last Friday when he reported for training.

Matic consequently filed a complaint at the Greater Accra regional police headquarters after he was stopped from performing his duties.

The embattled expatriate coach is absent from Sunday’s Super Clash against Asante Kotoko as assistant coach David Ocloo takes charge of the Phobians.

“You cannot joke with what the supporters are doing and so we thought of the best option for him (to stay away) and also the security has spoken to him.

For now it is better for him (Matic) to stay at home and let the fans calm down and then we will thrash it out” , Hearts of Oak board member Akanbi said on Adepa TV ahead of the Super Clash this afternoon.
