Medeama SC defender Fatawu Hamidu has been invited to the Black Stars by head coach Chris Hughton for Tuesday’s international friendly match against Liberia.
The left back of the Yellow and Mauves , current champions of Ghana , replaces Baba Rahman who is injured.
The former Chelsea defender started the AFCON qualifying game against Central African Republic on Thursday as Ghana won 2-1 to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
However , Rahman will not play any part in Tuesday’s friendly due to an injury as Fatawu Hamidu gets the opportunity to earn his first Black Stars call-up.
