Osimhen Scores against AC Milan But Napoli are Eliminated : Napoli were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League at the quarter-final stage by AC Milan on Tuesday as Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen netted in the stoppage time in the 1-1 draw but it was too late for Napoli to win the game.
The lethal Super Eagles striker gave hope to the people of Naples a few minutes from the end of the match to allow his team to come back to a score line of 1-1 in the 93rd minute after French striker Olivier Giroud opened the scoring for Milan in the 4rd.
Osimhen missed last week’s first le through injury and he was the one to put his name on the score sheet for the second leg yesterday as influential Georgia playmaker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia missed a crucial penalty in the 82nd minute.
Milan , Italy’s most successful club in Europe , thus reach the semi-finals as they wait to play against Benfica or Inter Milan. The latter won the quarter-final first leg by 2-0 in Lisbon and are largely tipped to advance on Wednesday after the second leg.
Napoli’s full focus now goes into the Serie A as they lead the Italian championship with 75 points in 30 matches.

Meanwhile in the other quarter-final second leg of Tuesday , Real Madrid defeated Chelsea by 2-0 thanks to a brace from Brazilian wonderkid Rodrygo Goes who scored in the 58th and 80th minutes as La Casa Blanca advance to the semis with a 4-0 aggregate success over the English side.
Madrid will now play against Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the semis.
