Seydou Zerbo Bombshell : Asante Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo has raised questions about the credibility of Aduana Stars’ leadership of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League alleging that the home matches of the Ogya Boys are fixed.
According to the Kotoko gaffer the Dormaa-based side are not credible leaders of the current league championship because their home games are fixed to their advantage.
The Porcupine Warriors were bundled out of the MTN FA Cup at the Round of 16 stage by Aduana thanks to a 60th minute penalty converted by Sam Adams at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Stadium on Sunday.
Defender Mohammed Alhassan brought down Isaac Mintah in the Kotoko area and the referee awarded a penalty but Zerbo does not agree with the decision.
“Il y a rien a faire parce que defaite pour nous c’est l’arbitre aujourd’hui qui a donne la victoire a Aduana cette apres midi parce que il y a pas penalty donc je ne plus parler. Je réponds a cette question que l’arbitrage n’est pas en faveur.
C’est pas un excuse mais aujourd’hui on a vu pourquoi Aduana est devant , tous les matchs sont truqués a domicile” a livid Seydou Zerbo fumed in French after the game.
Zerbo’s rant is translated into English verbatim by GhanaSportsMarket.com below :
“There is nothing that we can do because for this our defeat it is the referee who gave the victory to Aduana Stars this afternoon because there was no penalty. Therefore I will not talk anymore. I respond to this question that the officiating was not favorable” the Burkinabe coach said after the game.
:It is not an excuse but today we have seen why Aduana Stars are ahead ( in the league) . It is because all their home matches are fixed” Seydou Zerbo alleged in his official post-match interview.
