Stephen Manu Jabs Kofi Kordzi : Former Asante Kotoko and Black Galaxies striker Stephen Manu has lashed out at striker Kofi Kordzi following his insipid performance at the 2022 African Nations Championship.

The Legon Cities striker started Ghana’s games against Sudan and Niger at the tournament but failed to impress and Manu is the latest to go into the former Hearts of Oak striker.

“A lot was expected from someone like Kofi Kordzi but look at his performance. He even struggle to control the ball and so how can you win matches with such a striker.” Stephen Manu told Kumasi-based Fox FM on Saturday morning.

“Probably he is eating too much food. He has to take a look at his dieting. He is bulky and must be eating light food in order to be sharper during games.

If you go to a tournament with a striker of this sort then there is a big problem. People may even think there are no better strikers in the local league” Manu added.

Before kick off , Manu who was part of the Ghana team at the 2009 and 2011 CHAN tournaments , sounded a warning to Annor Walker and his charges about the quarter-final clash against Niger.

“Niger can cause a surprise by beating us. Their team is not bad at all. If you look at the two matches that we have played we have not been convincing.” he told Fox FM.

The Menas won the quarter-final match by 2-0 tie with goals from attacker Imarana Seyni and striker Soumana Hainikoye as Ghana managed a single shot on target in 90 minutes.
