Was Caleb Goal against Kotoku Royals Legitimate ? :  Hearts of Oak defeated Kotoku Royals by 1-0 thanks to an injury time winner scored by defender Caleb Amankwah in the 96th minute.

The big center-back ran behind the Royals defence to flick home Salifu Ibrahim’s freekick for the only goal of the game but pundits on Adepa TV on Star Times claim the goal should not have stood because the former WAFA player was off-side before Ibrahim centered the freekick.

“Caleb is clearly off-side and you can see it. I wonder why the assistant referee could not see that he was offside. I mean when we are talking about the state of our game now but officiating is something we have to look at also” , Felix Romark stated on Adepa TV.

Romark’s co-pundit Ester Abankwah agreed with the former’s assertion.

“He (Caleb) is in an off-side position before the ball was kick. The goal should not have stood”.
