2023 CAF U23 AFCON : Fourteen teams will compete for seven places during the third and final round of the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tournament.
Eight teams will take part in next year’s tournament to be hosted by Morocco in June 2023.
The Black Meteors entered the qualification series at the Second Round and defeated Mozambique back to back (2-1 away and 2-0 at home) to reach the final round.
Ghana will now meet DR Congo in March 2023 as Ibrahim Tanko seeks to qualify to the U23 AFCON for the second time after reaching the semis in Egypt 2019.
2023 U23 AFCON Qualification Final Round Pairings :
Niger – Sudan
Nigeria – Guinea
Ghana – DR Congo
Egypt – Zambia
Senegal – Mali
South Africa – Congo
Gabon – Cameroon
The seven final round winners will join host nation Morocco at the fourth edition of the CAF U23 AFCON.
