Interview with Akuoko : Andre Ayew might not be the taste of most Ghanaian football fans in recent times but the Al – Sadd playmaker has earned praises from former Ghana Premier League defender Emmanuel Akuoko who granted an exclusive interview to GhanaSportsMarket.com.
The Aduana Stars great highlighted the importance of having Andre Ayew in matches of the Black Stars and wants Otto Addo to start the 32-year old at the Qatar World Cup. The former Marseille attacker became the most capped Ghana player of all time after the friendly win against Switzerland last Thursday with his 110 senior international appearances.
“People have to be honest – Andre Ayew brings a lot of personality and experience to the Black Stars and I want to see him start our games at the World Cup” Emmanuel Akuoku said to GhanaSportsMarket.com.
“For his confidence level , how he cheers the team up and his vast experience at the World Cup , I think he must start our games” added by Akuoko who played over 200 games for Aduana Stars between 2009 and 2022.
Ghana launch their World Cup campaign against Portugal on Thursday November 24th before games against South Korea and Uruguay follow on November 30th and December 2nd respectively.
