Herve Renard : Saudi Arabia head coach Herve Renard has dedicated his team’s historic FIFA World Cup win against Argentina to the Saudi people.
The Saudis staged a great comeback to beat Lionel Messi’s Argentina at the Lusail Iconic stadium on Tuesday in the first Group C match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Messi scored first for the South Americans in the 10th minute from the spot but Al Shehri equalized in the 48th before Al Dawsari grabbed the winner in the 53rd minute.
“Congratulations to the team and the staff for this game, I dedicate this victory to the Saudi people. We are waiting for your support next match” the French manager wrote on social media after the game.
Mexico and Poland play tonight in the other Group C match.
