Buffaloes Defeat Determine Women

Buffaloes Defeat Determine Girls : Green Buffaloes Ladies FC of Zambia opened their 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League account with an emphatic victory over Determine Girls FC of Liberia on Sunday. 

The COSAFA qualification champions won by 4-0 to kick off their maiden CAF Women’s Champions League campaign.

The goals came from Maweta Chilenga in the 8th minute , Natasha Nanyangwe in the 30th , Hellen Chanda in the 31st minute before the Zambians killed off the game with a Jackie Toua own goal in the 58th minute.

The Group A match took place at the Stade Prince Moulay Al Hassan in Rabat and was officiated by Shahenda El Maghrabi of Egypt. FAR Rabat Women defeated Simba Queen by 1-0 in the other group A match also played on Sunday at the same venue.

Both Buffaloes Ladies and Determine Girls are making their first appearance at the second ever edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League competition.

The Zambian team qualified to play in this year’s event as winners of the 2022 CAF WCL COSAFA Qualification zone whilst Determine Girls won the WAFU Zone A qualification series to pick their ticket to Morocco 2022.

Determine Girls play their second group game against Simba Queens on November 2nd whilst Green Buffaloes lock horns against FAR Rabat Women.
