GFA Suspend Ashantigold : The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has triggered Article 17 (1) of its statutes to suspend Ashantigold Sc from all competitions of the association for dealing with club President Dr. Kwaku Frimpong and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Frimpong.
Kwaku Frimpong and son Emmanuel were handed 10-year and 8-year bans from all football-related activities by the GFA Disciplinary Committee (GFA DC) after they duo were found guilty of match fixing.
According to the GFA , Ashantigold SC who were demoted to the Second Division , continues to deal with the banned officials mentioned above and this goes against GFA and FIFA Statutes.
Meanwhile the Miners have hit back with a court injunction against the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League as the GFA announced on Thursday morning that they are suspending the league at least until 14th October , 2022.
