Haller First Assist for Dortmund : Sebastien Haller registered his first assist for Borussia Dortmund in his second match for the Bundesliga side who won 2-1 at Mainz 05 on Wednesday.
The Ivory Coast attacker joined Dortmund from Ajax this summer but a testicular tumour prevented him from making his debut for his new team at the start of the 2022/23 season.
After months of treatment , the lanky striker made his Dortmund debut in the 4-3 win against Augsburg on January 22nd as he replaced teenage sensation Youssoufa Moukoko in the 62nd minute.
Yesterday manager Edin Terzic introduced the 28-year old Ivorian once again in the 62nd minute to replace Moukoko against Mainz and the striker went ahead to set up the match winner by Giovanni Reyna.
Dortmund are now 5th on the Bundesliga standings with 31 points in 17 games.
