Ochoa and Guardado : Goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa and midfielder Andres Guardado will be reaching a new milestone when the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicks off this Sunday.
The duo are appearing at the World Cup for joint-record fifth time after manager Gerardo Martino named them in his final squad list on Monday.
The veteran goalkeeper Ochoa (37 years old) made his debut for the national team in 2005 and has 130 caps for Mexico whilst 36-year old Guardado has 117 caps for The Tricolor.
Ochoa and Guadardo thus join the following players as joint holders of the most FIFA World Cup tournament appearances record ;
