Seydou Zerbo Congratulates Hearts of Oak : In a remarkable show of sportsmanship , Seydou Zerbo has congratulated rivals Hearts of Oak following their Super Clash victory against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the Accra sports stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors lost the Super Clash by 1-0 as former WAFA defender Konadu Yiadom scored the only goal of the game for Hearts of Oak. The Phobians also lifted the 2023 GHALCA President’s Cup.

After the match Kotoko’s Burkinabe coach Zerbo blamed the lack of efficiency of his players in front of goal whilst congratulating Hearts of Oak.

“We played very well. Today we had two teams that play real football. Today Kumasi Asante Kotoko we were not very skillful in front of goal.” , Zerbo said after the match.

The former RC Kadiogo coach continued :

“We had numerous chances but we failed to utilize but the opponent scored with their only chance and I say bravo to them (Hearts of Oak).

But we showed a good face and we did not have the chance to smile today. Again felicitations to Hearts. They  played a very good football game , they played very well and to be honest there is nothing to say again”

Note : Seydou Zerbo spoke in French during his post-match interview and it was translated into English by GhanaSportsMarket.com.
