Zerbo Admits Lack of Efficacy : Asante Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo says his players lacked necessary goal-scoring skills in their defeat against rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday during the betPawa Ghana Premier League match-day 20 fixture.
The Porcupine Warriors lost the Super Clash by 1-0 as former WAFA defender Konadu Yiadom scored the only goal of the game for Hearts of Oak.
The Phobians also lifted the 2023 GHALCA President’s Cup but Kotoko’s Burkinabe coach blames the lack of efficiency of his players in front of goal.
“We played very well. Today we had two teams that play real football. Today Kumasi Asante Kotoko we were not very skillful in front of goal.” , Zerbo said after the match.
The former RC Kadiogo coach continued :
“We had numerous chances but we failed to utilize but the opponent scored with their only chance and I say bravo to them (Hearts of Oak). But we showed a good face and we did not have the chance to smile today.”
Steven Mukwala was the biggest culprit as the Uganda attacker squandered several clear-cut chances.
