Aduana Stars – Kotoko FA Cup Clash : Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko do big battle on Sunday in a Round of 16 tie of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup at the Nana Agyeman Badu I stadium.

The first meeting between the two teams this season ended in a 0-0 draw at the same venue during the first round of the Ghana Premier League.

The Ogya Boys and the Porcupine Warriors do not often cross path in the Cup competition but what happened the last time the two rivals met in the MTN FA Cup?

The stage was the semi-finals , the date was Friday 10th July 2015 and the venue was the Sunyani Coronation Park. Asante Kotoko won the blockbuster match by 3-1 thanks to a Christopher Bonney brace and a free-kick of Michael Akuffo.

Godfred Saka scored the consolation goal for Aduana Stars.

Meanwhile Medeama SC defeated Hearts of Oak two days later to set up a massive final against the Porcupine Warriors who were under the technical leadership of David Duncan.

The Yellow and Mauves proceeded to win the 2015 Cup trophy after defeating Kotoko by 2-1 at the Essipong sports stadium.
