Hearts of Oak NCC’s “Operation 10 000 Supporters” for Kotoku Royals match flops as Phobians fail to attend in numbers

Hearts of Oak Operation 10 000 Supporters : Hearts of Oak National Chapters Committee launched the “Operation 10 000 Supporters” for the Hearts of Oak – Kotoku Royals Week 2 betPawa Ghana Premier League match on Sunday.

Stadium attendance this season has drastically dwindled for the two biggest clubs in the country , Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko , as they struggle to fill 40 000 capacity stadiums in Accra and Kumasi week in week out.

The official supporters group of the Phobians has embarked on a campaign to whip up enthusiasm among Hearts of Oak supporters but it appears there are a lot of work to do as the fan turnout for Sunday’s match is not encouraging.

The cheapest tickets went for 20 Ghana Cedis whilst the highest was 70 Ghana Cedis but it is almost an empty stadium.

The game is currently ongoing as the second half just got underway.
