“I went to Saudi Arabia because it is a Muslim country and I am a Muslim” – Karim Benzema

Karim Benzema on Why He Went to Saudi Arabia : French striker Karim Benzema says he selected to take is professional football career to Saudi Arabia because he it is a Muslim country and that he has always wanted to live in a Muslim nation.

Karim Benzema said : “I’m very happy to be here, it’s been great.”

“Why Saudi? Because it’s a Muslim country & I’m Muslim & I always wanted to live in a Muslim country.”

The Real Madrid legend also talked about other things.

“The big names are now here. Cristiano Ronaldo on one side & today I’m here too. It’s important to show Saudi football can have an impact on a global scale.

Cristiano Ronaldo (mon ami) is here, it shows Saudi is starting to progress it’s level, which is important on an international scale.”

Football is for everyone, men & women, I’m very supportive of women’s football in Saudi Arabia.”
