Wollacot Injury : Ghana international goalkeeper Joseph Wollacot is to be scanned after picking a finger injury during warm-up of the League One game between Burton Albion and Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
The Ghana custodian was named in the starting line – up of Charlton but had to be replaced by Craig MacGillivray as the game ended 3-3.
“He caught the end of his finger in the warm-up. He’ll get scanned as soon as we get back down to London. We’re hoping and praying that it is nothing because he’s due to fly out to the World Cup tomorrow,” head coach Ben Garner told CharltonTV after the game.
Wollacot is largely expected to continue to be Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
