2022 FIFA WC Opening Ceremony : The opening ceremony of the 22nd FIFA World up has taken place at the Al Bayt stadium in Al Khor on Sunday afternoon.
Former France international Marcel Desailly bought the FIFA World Cup trophy to the field.
There was a performance by BTS star Jung Kook alongside Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi as they sang Dreamers, the official World Cup song.
American actor Morgan Freeman also performed at the opening ceremony. The 85-year old was pictured alongside Ghanim Al-Muftar the FIFA World Cup ambassador.
Qatar and Ecuador contest the opening match of the World Cup at 16 : 00 GMT.
