CB Mohammed Salisu 7.5/10 : Great show from Salisu. Scored first to put his team ahead and provided ample security at the back for Ghana. Was beaten by Cho Gue-Sung for the first South Korea goal but was a reliable man in defence for the team of Otto Addo.
CB Daniel Amartey 7/10 : As calm as ever. Daniel progressed the ball well from the back and his quality and experience in defence means he is the best person to partner Salisu at the moment.
CDM Salis Abdul Samed 7.5/10 : Did his job so well. Always he was there to be the extra man for the back four as he dropped deep to help progress the ball to the midfielders and the attackers. Fine performance from the Lens man.
CDM Thomas Partey 7/10 : An indifferent performance from the Arsenal midfielder.
RF Mohammed Kudus 9/10 : Was the biggest attacking threat for the Koreans. Scored two goals to become the first Ghanaian player to do so in a single World Cup match.
AM Andre Ayew 7/10 : Performed his leadership role well and provided the necessary motivation for the Black Stars players to win their first match in Qatar.
LF Jordan Ayew 8/10 : Put in one of the best individual performances for any Ghanaian player in a very long time. Much involved in the first two goals of the Black Stars with his menacing crosses. His starting place against Uruguay is now assured.
CF Inaki Williams 6/10 : Works really hard up front but the Bilbalo man is yet to produce any reference performance for the Black Stars.
Coach Otto Addo 8 /10 : Made three changes to his starting team from the one that lost against Portugal and the outcome was Ghana’s first win at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. His team has scored 5 goals and has conceded 5 goals. Going forward he needs to improve in this regard.
